Established by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Provincial Government of Shandong and the Municipal Government of Weihai and approved by the State Council on March 6, 1991, Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park is one of the three national Torch Development Parks of high and new technology industries. The Administrative Committee of the Park is the full representative of the Municipal Government of Weihai in the economic management of the Park.
